For as long as I can remember my Cingular bill has always had a touch of orange.
But bills that have been mailed out to customer at the end of April and start of May look a bit different. The Cingular Logo has been replaced by an at&t logo and every bit of orange has been removed from the bill.
All of the changes are in the header of the bill, the rest of the bills formatting has renamed the same.
Follow the following links to view the changes

Although still more expensive than the competition, Cingular has finally added Unlimited Texting last week.
We had previously reported that Cingular was false advertising with their Recent ad campaign, as the unlimited plan they had before was only for in network.
But now the 19.99 unlimited texting plan will allow Cingular users to text all they want, to whom they want no matter what network they are on.
The new texting plan from Cingular appears to have been launched around the 22nd or 23rd of April.

With the launch of CellRants.com only 4 days away, I figured it was time to get our first Featured Rant up.
So what are Featured Rants? Well they are the most interesting and controversial rants posted by visitors to our forums.
For our first Featured Rant we chose the very first rant posted on our forums entitled Nextel Sucks. It was posted by fellow Administrator LaIndia who also happens to be my boo boo bear. (Up to interpretation)
LaIndia had some trouble porting over her number from Boost to Nextel, it literally took two months and a phone call to Sprint which lasted more than 8 hours.

The Sidekick ID, dubbed the “SideKick for people on welfare” due to the cheap price and lack of features is now available for purchase.
The SideKick ID has a similar in design to the SideKick 3, but lacks key features; for example the SideKick ID does not play MP3’s and does not come with a camera.
You can get the SideKick ID from T-mobile for 99.99 with a 2 year contract.
For more information about the SideKick ID click here or visit t-mobile.

Have you guys seen the Cingular (at&t) commercial about the girl who text too much?
You know the one that says she’s texting her BFF Jill? (Click here to watch video)
Well at the end of the comical it says “Add unlimited texting to your plan for an extra 5 dollars a month.”
I recorded the commercial to look for fine print and there is none that says the Unlimited Texting is m2m. Meaning you only get unlimited texting to Cingular customers.
If this isn’t false advertising I do not know what is. So I asked myself, hmm do they tell the customer that orders this supposed “Unlimited Texting plan” that it is just unlimited texting within the Cingular network?
So I called Cingular Customer service and I said I want to add the Unlimited texting plan to my account. Guess what they never mentioned it’s just for texting to Cingular customers.
So beware the Unlimited Texting Plan from Cingular is just for Text sent and received from within the Cingular network.
At least on the Cingular at&t website it does say Unlimited m2m messaging.
“UNLIMITED Mobile to Mobile (M2M) Messaging - Unlimited text, picture & video messages:
Now AT&T wireless subscribers can exchange unlimited text, picture and video messages! No more bill surprises! Instant Messages, alerts, off-network, premium messages, and messages to/from non-AT&T customers will be deducted from your texting plans allowance.”
If you are with Cingular and you want close to Unlimited Text messaging, you’d have to spend at least 25 - 30 dollars a month and even then you won’t have that many off network text messages available.

There's a lively debate taking place right now in our forums about Customer Service reps working for service providers. Most of us have been in this situation: you're getting sub-par service from your provider, and you feel you deserve some type of compensation. The eternal question is, what is the best way to get it? If there's one thing I think we can all agree on, it's this: you win more flies with honey. Click here to head over to the forum for some candid truths from company insiders.

Well it would appear that our forums have had their first post. My friend Indi (LaIndia on the forums) posted a rant about a problem she had with Sprint a month or so back.
I was able to rectify her problem but only after she spent 8 hours on hold with them.
Check our forums and the forum post here in our Nextel forum.
Feel free to sign up on the forums and post your rant, we have not officially launched but we welcome your comments.

CellRants.com has launched! Although we are not 100% ready with our theme we are launching anyway, because we believe the site will become a great resource for everyone.
So what is CellRants.com? CellRants.com is a place for cellphone users, customer service agents, and service providers to let off a little steam and maybe share some info with each other. The idea for the site was given to me by Chris Aarons, a former marketing genius at AMD and now founder of Buzzcorps.com. He gave me the idea for the site after hearing about some problems I personally was having with Cingular and my boo boo bear with Nextel.
We want the CellRants.com to become a useful tool for everyone who uses a cellphone. We want to provide a place for you to vent your anger, or show some love for your cellphone company, and find help if you need any. We want the site to be a place where whistle blowers from can come and inform the public of bad deeds the company they work for may be involved in. We want it to be a place with CS agents can let off some steam about the customers they deal with. We really want the site to be fun for everyone.
This site is launching today May 1st 2007. but it is already receiving a fair amount of traffic, our forums are not super active, but activity is growing each day, so we ask you to join and introduce yourself.
The site is currently only 95% themed and some bugs are present, so if you find any bugs, post them and let us know so we can correct it as soon as possible.
Thank you and welcome to CellRants.com
Thank you Stratanet.net for providing the hosting, thank you Kevin for putting up with my crap while setting up the site, and thank you Indi my boo boo bear for encouraging me.
