So Sprint said in a Press Release yesterday that their new Simply Everything plan would be available today.
Well it isn’t. Indi (LaIndia) called Sprint and was told “nope you can’t get it today, maybe tomorrow not sure”. I mean come on it’s on your website as available. But when you go to a Sprint Store or Call you are told you can’t get it?
What kind of BS is that? If Sprint wasn’t sure they could have the plan available today, then they should of said next week instead of Tomorrow February 29th 2008.
So when will the Simply Everything Plan be available? Who knows Sprint obviously doesn’t.
Update: I spoke with someone in Sprints Public Relations and was told this.
The $99 Simply Everything plan is available beginning today.
I’m not sure who you spoke with in customer care, but I would encourage you to call back. I do know that they have been conducting round-the-clock training with reps on the new plan since it was announced yesterday morning. I can only assume you spoke with someone who had not been fully trained.
We called again and were told again that we couldn’t get the new plan. We called a 3rd time as soon as we hung up and we got someone that gave us the plan. However they told us the system needed to be rebooted and they would call back. lets see what happens.

Sprint has entered the Unlimited minutes Price wars and they came in swinging. Sprint has raised the bar with their new “Simply Everything” plan.
So what is Simply Everything? It’s Everything as simple as that. But what exactly is everything? Everything is unlimited voice as well as unlimited data, text, e-mail, Web-surfing, Sprint TV, Sprint Music, GPS Navigation, and push-to-talk service for $99.99 a month.
Talk about a major bitch slap. I wonder which company will respond first.
So if you are a Sprint customer, call Sprint tomorrow to switch your plan because the plan goes on sale tomorrow.
“This is a bold, unprecedented move,” said Dan Hesse, president and CEO, Sprint Nextel. “Wireless today is about much more than just voice. It is about data services - texting, email, video, pictures, music, navigation, surfing the Web and more. Customers want these applications, but without complexity and without having to worry about their bill. The $99.99 Simply Everything plan delivers it all right to the palm of their hand now.
“Today’s handsets are powerful data devices. Each day they get better, faster and easier to use with more intuitive user interface designs and full Internet access. Our high-speed networks were built with this in mind and it’s where we believe the battleground lies - offering fast access to the best content and data services. We are removing the barriers for customers to feel free to use all of the features of their phones.”
For those interested in the family plan version of Simply Everything.
For families, Simply Everything includes an incremental $5 discount for each incremental line, up to five lines on the same bill. For example, two lines would amount to $194.98 ($99.99 + $94.99); a third line would cost an additional $89.99. This is in sharp contrast to the multi-line unlimited rates offered by some competitors.
LaIndia already plans on switching.

Apple has released updated firmare for the ever so popular iPhone. Apple has said little about what is included in version 1.1.4 and appears just to fix some bugs.
As of yet there is no word on whether or not the new iPhone Firmware breaks jailbroken phones but only time will tell. Best not to upgrade until someone finds out for sure.
As we mentioned yesterday, the iPhone SDK has been delayed, today Apple mentioned nothing about it.

Terry over at HardwareGeeks, is disapointed that the Apple SDK that was scheduled to be released soon is rumored to be delayed.
Many iPhone users, including yours truly have been anxiously awaiting this release. The iPhone is a great communications device but has limited platform potential without access to native 3rd party applications. Yes you can “jailbreak” the iPhone to allow 3rd party apps but the price you pay is a convoluted update process each time Apple releases a patch.
It’s anticipated that developers will submit their apps to Apple for certification and be made available through the iTunes stores.
What’s not clear is the pricing or how updates to the individual apps will work. I don’t mind paying for apps I find useful but in my mind the price point needs to be $4.99 or less. Oh and give us an MMS app . . . please ? The iPhone has proven to be very popular and stands to gain in sales and user base with increased functionality. Make it so Mr. Jobs.
So what does an delayed SDK mean to you? Basically you won’t get 3rd party apps anytime soon.

Earlier this week T-Mobile said they will have an Unlimited Minute and Unlimited Text Messaging plan starting the 21st. Well today is the 21st, where is the plan?
I have called T-Mobile Twice and went to my local T-Mobile store and they each said no such plan is available.
Do we have our first casulty of the Unlimited Minute war? Probably not, when I logged onto my.t-mobile.com and went to change my plan, it said that portion of their site was being updated. So maybe it will appear later today.

In order to get the talkforever service though, you will need to be a T-Mobile@home subscriber and have a broadband connection.

But with T-Mobile introducing Unlimited calling and it launching today do you really need this?
