Cuban lifts Cell Phone Ban
Friday, March 28, 2008

Cuban has lifted its cell phone ban on ordinary citizens, but is it all for show?

I think it is as the service will have to be paid in “convertible pesos” this is money only available to tourist and is worth 20 times more than “Cuban Pesos” the money Cubans use. Keep in mind the average Cuban only makes $408 Cuban Pesos a month (20 USD).

So while the ban is lifted, I am pretty sure it’s just for show to give the impression of change, because what Cuban will be able to afford the service?

alltel Jumps on Unlimited Minute Bandwagon
Monday, March 10, 2008

image Alltel now has an Unlimited minute plan, but is it worth it? Alltels plan offers no unlimited texting or data just unlimited minutes.

If you are an alltel customer I suggest you stick with their MyCircle plans unless you have over 20 people you talk to a lot. Alltel has also said that they don’t expect many people to sign up for the unlimited plan.

I my self an kind of surprised at the lackluster Unlimited plan from Alltel which typically offers better plans then all of the Major Providers.
