MY ONGOING NEXTEL DILEMMA

Hi everyone. I continue to have more issues with Sprint/Nextel.

It’s getting ridiculous; I am literally stressed out over these issues. For the past month mysterious minutes have been appearing on my account. I could go an entire day without making a call and yet anytime minutes would be deducted from my account, I didn’t realize this until Sprint texted me to say I am over m limit. (I have a limited account).

I paid a partial balance to activate my account again and didn’t use the phone all day, when all of a sudden my phones off again, I call they want 15 dollars more, then again 40 dollars more, finally fed up I tell them I hadn’t used my phone why is it using minutes.

They submited a ticket over a week ago, and I have yet to hear anything about it.

To make a long story short, today is he 13th my billing cycle starts the 12th, yesterday I had 0 anytime minutes used, today I had 51. How do I use 51 anytime minutes on a weekend when I have unlimited nights and weekends is beyond me.

But Sprint basically told me not to use my phone until the problem is resolved. But they didn’t say they will credit me, even though I am told by them not to use it.

Nextel Sucks

Hi everyone my name is Indi I am from NY and I have a little rant about Sprint customer service.

A little background about my problem; I had two cell phones both with pre-paid service one to make calls and another was a sidekick where I just checked email and kept in contact with people over IM and if I needed to look something up on the web really fast I’d use it to do that.

The Boost Mobile pre-paid phone I had was not cost effective at all so I decided to switch to Nextel, I really needed the walkie talkie feature that Nextel offers.

Now that you know the background of my story let’s get on with the Rant.

I went to the sprint store and opened a new account and requested that they port my boost number over to Nextel, they told me sure no problem that it should be done with-in a couple of days. They told me they would call me when the number port was complete.

So a week goes by no call from sprint/Nextel and my number hasn’t ported. So I call them.

They feed me the same line that in a few days it should be ported over, another week goes by and I make another call, another week goes by and I make another call another week goes by and I make another call.

Total of 6 weeks. I am busy through-out the day so I really don’t have much time to call them every day I decided to call and wait for an answer.

Boy was that a Mistake. Want to guess how long I was on hold? I hear someone saying 2 hours, no sorry not to hours, someone just said 3 hours no sorry not three, you all give up? It was 8 hours. Yes 8 hours, I was so upset but I wanted to get the matter fixed no matter what, I was transferred from dept. to dept. from clueless rep to clueless rep, from sprint to boost from boost to sprint each saying the other was the culprit I waited 8 hours and I would have waited longer if I had not been transferred and received a sorry our normal business hours are between 9am and 5pm message.

I was furious, I was so angry. I was going to call again the next day and cancel.

The next day before I even called Sprint my phone did not work, no service, I tell Michael my dilemma and he says and I quote “Yo yo yo Let me handle this I got your back yo” well maybe he didn’t say “yo yo yo yo” but he said he would handle it, and he did.

Apparently Sprint was able to port my number over to my phone from Boost, but 16 minutes after they ported it over, they ported it back to boost effectively terminating my service with Sprint.

But he raised hell with them and 2 hours later my phone service was up and working and my number was ported.

Thanks for listening!

How to Update your Nextel phone

Nextel and Boost use similar phones. For example the i880 and the i885 are the same phone but the i880 is for boost while th i885 is for Nextel.

They use the same firmware (OS) only difference is the i880 is cutomized for boost while the i885 is customizedfor Nextel.

So can you use your i880 on Nextel or your i885 on boost? Yes but you may run into some issues.

How do you fix these issues? Well you update the firmware with th OEM firmware available from Motorola.

Where do you find the firmware?

Here
http://idenphones.motorola.com/iden/support/software/html/firmware_utility.html

What do you need?
A computer and a USB Data cable for the i880 which can be found for as little as 7 dollars
http://cgi.ebay.com/NEXTEL-i875-i880-USB-DATA-CABLE-RINGTONE-CD-FREE-i-875_W0QQitemZ230125528267QQcmdZViewItem

What do you have to do?
Download the software for your phone and run it on our PC. Make sure your PC meets the minimum requirements and you have your phone connected to it.

WARNING DOING THIS WRONG CAN RUIN YOUR PHONE, ALSO EVERYTHING WILL BE ERASED

Nextel and Sprint shady billing practices

Well my friend calls Nextel almost every month about different billing issues.

It seems that every month she is always adding extended nights and weekends or multiple text messaging packages to her plan.

Is anyone seeing this? She literally had 2 texting plans on 1 line, an unlimited plan which she ordered and a 1000 message plan

Winning business in 2011

Winning business in 2011
Rarely does new business knock at the door without you having to go out and find it. Whatever your industry, the growth of your business probably depends on successful pitches, securing contracts and seeking out new opportunities. With this in mind, 2011 has the potential to be a pivotal year for your company’s growth. Growing Business takes a look at five big opportunities and how you and your business can take full advantage.
Olympic procurement
With the London 2012 Games fast approaching, there is enormous potential for businesses from around Britain to clinch valuable deals. The Olympic Committee has emphasised the importance of small and large companies from all sectors in delivering the Games next year, and the event offers businesses the chance to find new trading partners, enter new markets and compete for lucrative contracts. Aside from the obvious building and infrastructure work, there are prospects available for: material suppliers, such as timber and concrete; tree and flower planters; as well as all businesses related to tourism and hospitality.
The capital will be swamped with visitors during the Games and for a number of weeks either side, so anyone operating in these sectors will find a wide range of business opportunities open to them. Our advice is to get ahead and enquire early for any tendering opportunities. CompeteFor.com is the chosen site of London 2012 for the publication of Games-related contracts. This brokerage service aims to match buyers with potential suppliers, and requires businesses to register to ensure they are ready for the Games and other public sector opportunities. VisitBritain has also launched a website to help tourism businesses benefit from the Olympics at Tourism2012Games org.
Government procurement
Recent changes to government procurement procedures have given smaller businesses a new competitive edge. In December, the government announced the scrapping of its two-tier code, which was set up in 2003 to ensure pay and conditions of new staff hired by private sector companies that take over public sector contracts would be comparable with those received by the former public sector staff they work alongside. This was a major disincentive to smaller firms bidding for government contracts, because it restricted their ability to deliver services as cost-effectively as possible. As a result, the announcement of the system’s termination is undoubtedly good news for smaller firms looking for new contracts.
