I am back with a new phone to review and probably the first. My finace got me the voyager and it is suppose to be iPhone rival. I love Apple and the small simplistic icons and options of the iPhone, but with Verizon I am happy. As everyone may already knowm it has the touch face with the utterly brilliant inside flip [identicle to the En “v”’ inside] so when your not “in the mood” for the touch screen you can have the tactile pleasure of pressing buttons once again.

It has two internet options. You can use either the filtered version of the internet to help guide you though fast without the loading lag, or you can have the FULL web page displayed like the iPhone. These both are standard with the phone plan.

Obviously every incentive that Apple gave you to to want to by the iPhone, LG has given you to buy the Voyager.
MP3 player ....
Calender
Weather
Removable memory 8GB
Full web page display
Note pad
World clock
Easy tip calculator

THEN THE THINGS THAT iPhone DOESN’T HAVE

Vibe Touch. It allows you to FEEL a semi vibrate when touching the keys for tactile feedback, which you wouldn’t believe makes so much difference
Dual Speakers
Video—Which also can be sent SMS
SMS picture messaging
Navagation ---->(GPS)<--- whu didn’t Apple think of that? with Parent Chaperone feature.
Mobile IM
TV—with extendable antenna

Also you do have to choose a different phone plan, which becomes nationwide, but prices do not go up. <--- Remember the iPhone plans increased prices

3.5 iPhone screen compared to 2.8 Voyager though. There are obviously pros and cons about both, for me, the Voyager is just all pro’s/
Cingulars reception is second best anyday though, so it’s something I could never miss anyhow.

Can’t wait to see how you like the phone.

I personally liked the Sprint HTC Touch more than the iPhone but I haven’t tried the Voyager yet.

I guess the touch screen has really hit it off. I mean I had no idea that so many company’s had already jumped on the bandwagon. That would have been a good investment if I havdn’t already ordered the Voyager and if my finace and I didn’t have mobile to mobile:(

Touch screens have been around for years, just no one really noticed them until the iPhone.

Here we are again. A bit disappointed. The internet is a bit jerky and doesn’t have wi fi. Does go a bit faster though than EDGE network.

I am done wasting money.

The only true advantage I see to having this phone is the full actual keyboard inside the flip of the phone. So for longer posts [like this] I can flip it open and type more lengthy letters without the frustration. And forget everyone who says they can type faster on there touch pad than I can with the button because your crazy.

I played with the phone you have Mike and I still have to say that iPhone reins supreme. It’ a freakin Apple for Gods sake, you can’t beat that. They have overly thought out features that I keepholding my breath on that someone will duplicate.

Now I hear that they are coming out with an improved iPhone. Just damn great. My fucking phone hunt is over. I’ve come to the end of the financial road here with being ridiculous. But I guess in retrospect WAS THE 5 MONTH STRETCH OF HAVING THE ABILITY TO SEND PICTURE AND VIDEO VIA SMS WORTH CANCELLING MY CINGULAR PLAN?

Yes.

Those months my fiance shared every growing moment with our son through video and picture and didn’t miss a beat. I wouldn’t have changed it for the world.

Also Apple should definately look into an actual keyboard as well. Buttons are just bette when it comes to a keyboard.

I couldlve delt with the reception though.

That was a true rant.

Reception with at&t;in general hasn’t been that great but it has been improving.

However the iPhone the position of the antena just sucks.
