Sprint Store needs some work!

I went to my local sprint store the other day, and I guess I haven’t bought a cell phone in a while....
So I get there, and the place doesn’t look terribly busy, so i started looking around.  Then I asked if someone could help me with a phone, and they replied that I needed to get on the wait list.?!?!
okay, so i get on this list, and I’m #9… I don’t get why they need to have 1 on 1 for each person when they’re looking for a phone.  It should act like a regular store where you get what you want and ask questions and buy your phone....
Well, I then asked how long it would take, and they said they had no idea.  Again, how could they have no idea?  I asked if it was like 15 minutes or 4 hours, and all she could reply was that it wasn’t gonna be 4 hours.
Now I hadn’t bought a cell phone in a while, but this seemed like really crappy service… Needless to say, I left and am debating just either buying one online, or maybe even switching to a new carrier…

So thats my rant… the stores need some work, that’s for sure.

Welcome Newestuser smile

What you describe is typical with almost all stores. You get on a wait list and wait for someone to attend you

Which honestly I can understand why they do it when the store is crowded and busy, but when it isn’t I don’t see why we as customers can’t just go up and say hey can you tell me about this phone.

Something else I have noticed, 99% of the time you are better ordering on-line because you tend to get a better deal and you have access to more info about the phone. A lot of those in store reps haven’t a clue about the phones they are selling.

I agree that online is the way to go to buy stuff, but I do like to be able to touch it 1st, then go back and order online.

And by the way… neat site you have here! smile

Yeah I am the same way touch before I buy, but hey you sure you want to go sprint? Their customer service is one of the worst in my opinion.

Thanks! glad you like the site, we are working on themeing it right now so over the next few days the look of if should change.

Hope you stick around, if you purchase a new phone and service we’d like to hear how it went.

I decided to wait for the new PPC-6800 in May.  I have a good retention plan.. $35/mo for 650 day minutes & roaming, $15/mo extra for evdo, so I’m just not sure I could find anything as good.

Wow they must love you to offer you a plan that good.

I love the phones HTC makes, I persoanally have the HTC S620 Pro with T-mobile and use the Dash which is similar as my back up phone.

When I was working as a CS rep for them, I’ve had lots of dumbass Sprint Store reps call in, they had no clue what they’re doing, they had the tools to set up the phone/account/etc, but would waste CSRs’ time by calling in and get the CSR to set it up instead, and all they would do was let us set up the base account, and they’d go “we’ll take it from here (meaning we’ll try to “MAXimize” the sale from here).  I’ve had to go through instructions to teach the reps how to unlock phones who knows how many times, they should know that.

I’ve heard bad things about both Sprint Store employees (some are corrupt) or Sprint CSRs, I’ve heard some lie to the customer before
