How at&t instore Reps lie and try to Nickle and Dime you
Monday, June 23, 2008

So two weeks ago I was in Hollywood Florida visiting my cousins and she has been an at&t customer for over 6 years and in those 6 years she has never upgraded any of the phones on her account. (She had 2 lines)

So while in Florida I convinced her to upgrade her two phones and we went to an at&t corporate store and found a phone for her. It was on sale for 1 penny so she bought 4 and added 2 more lines to her account.

A friendly guy named Michael Zeidman, helped us. Told us the two lines would be added to the account and everyone will share the minutes. My cousin questioned him time and time again if the phones will share minutes. He assured her that yes they would.

She was happy, Until she got her first bill.

Turns out Michael Zeidman lied to her, he added separate plans for each of the new phones so they were not sharing minutes like he said and he also added Road Side Assistance to each phone something he never told us he did nor my cousin wanted.

Whats also shocking is that the paperwork he gave my cousin and she signed indicated none of this.

So advice to everyone, if you go to an at&t store and order a new phone or upgrade. Dial 611 to your phone to make sure everything is set up the way you believe its set up and that no additional services were added to your account, because these in store reps like Michael Zeidman will appear to be the nicest of people but are really screwing you over, and if you don’t pay much attention to your bill you may be stuck with charges and features you did not want.

What’s up T-Mobile
Friday, October 26, 2007

imageI for the past year have been a T-Mobile customer, and for the past year I have loved their service and suggested people get it over other providers.

I live and work in NYC, and have been happy with the service T-Mobile providers, but this week has completely changed my mind about T-Mobile and their service. T-Mobile Service is Horrible, and it wasn’t just me saying it but at least 6 of my friends and at least a dozen or so business associates.

So what exactly is my problem? Well I can be walking down the street, my phone in hand and suddenly my phone rings to life with a Voicemail alert, but wait a minute my phone did not ring, so I am thinking maybe some other alert with the same voicemail sound, so I look at my phone and sure enough I have a voice mail. So I listen to my voicemail and call the person back, and they said the phone rang 8 times which they thought was odd.

I put it off as a fluke, but it continued to happen day after day for the past week, I would get voice mail alerts. But it hasn’t just been happening to me, a person I do business with Terri Stranton had the same exact problem, and according to her so did Nick White (Does WindowsVistaBlog.com), but it didn’t end there, my friend Jessy has been having the same problem, my friend Eric as well. What do we all have in common? T-Mobile!
But voicemail alerts weren’t the only problem we were all having. Sometimes when we made calls they would ring twice and go silent, or we would dial our voicemail and someone would answer the phone, or you can be talking and suddenly the call would drop.

So whats up T-Mobile? What’s changed with in the past few days that has caused your service to go down the dumps? I hope its temporary.

By the way this is just happening with T-Mobile, I have Sprint and at&t phones on me as well (reviews I have received) and the Sprint service has signal everywhere and none of these problems and at&t has none of these problems but the signal at&t has here in NY isn’t that much better than T-Mobile.

alltel in Store CS sucks (Featured Rant)
Monday, May 07, 2007

alltel cellrants.com logoMarisa a member of our Forums recently posted a rant about the in store customer service alltel provides.

Marisa has been an alltel customer since 1991 (way before the were called alltel), and in her rant she praises the company for giving her reliable service where no other provider can and for allowing her to keep the fantastic plan she has (3000 minutes Unlimited nights and weekends for $270, she has 5 lines), even though her contract has expired.

Her only complaint is their in store customer service. She says their sales reps are rude, and one time she arrived at the store 12 minutes before closing and they did not let her in, she says the girl yapped away on her phone and just ignored her.

I think I would be extremely upset if that happened to me.

Check our Marisa’s rant here, and feel free to post yours!

Nextel Sucks (Featured Rant)
Friday, April 27, 2007

With the launch of CellRants.com only 4 days away, I figured it was time to get our first Featured Rant up.

So what are Featured Rants? Well they are the most interesting and controversial rants posted by visitors to our forums.

For our first Featured Rant we chose the very first rant posted on our forums entitled Nextel Sucks. It was posted by fellow Administrator LaIndia who also happens to be my boo boo bear. (Up to interpretation)

LaIndia had some trouble porting over her number from Boost to Nextel, it literally took two months and a phone call to Sprint which lasted more than 8 hours.

Click here to read the rant.
