The Sidekick ID, dubbed the “SideKick for people on welfare” due to the cheap price and lack of features is now available for purchase.

The SideKick ID has a similar in design to the SideKick 3, but lacks key features; for example the SideKick ID does not play MP3’s and does not come with a camera.

You can get the SideKick ID from T-mobile for 99.99 with a 2 year contract.

I wish Alltel would carry that phone. They can dub it anything they want but I just don’t want a cell phone with an MP3 player or a camera. I have a terrific iRiver for music and a 9mp camera. I want a phone with excellent communication features.

Maybe if you can get the Sidekick ID unlocked.

Sidekicks are not able to be used on other networks for more than Calls and SMS messaging. No data services will work.
