Sprint Eliminates Fees
Tuesday, December 11, 2007

image Sprint changed their fee structure in time for the holidays, starting in January Sprint will eliminate some goverment fees, which will result in a smaller bill for most people. However these goverment fee’s will be replaced by new Administrative fees.

Sprint Nextel is charging the Administrative Charge to help defray various costs imposed on us by ther telecommunications carriers, including, but not limited to, charges imposed by local telephone companies for delivery of calls from our customers to their landline customers and for certain network facilities and services we must purchase from them. The Regulatory Charge is being assessed to help defray the costs of various federal, state, and local regulatory programs. These charges are not taxes and are not amounts we are required to collect from you.

So at the end of the day you save little to nothing at all.

If I was still an employee with the company, the changes the company has made in the last half year would have made my job heck alot easier.

I’ve gotten screamed at once or twice per week over Gov’t fees, they already dealt with the jackasses who call in all the time to be jerks.. so that’s another plus.

Now if only in Canada the System Access Fee was removed by all carriers, it’s not government mandated as of a few years ago.
