T-Mobile Quietly Drops Price on Total Internet Plan
Saturday, October 13, 2007

imageOn the 9th of October T-Mobile quietly dropped it’s price on the Total Internet Add-On plan with Unlimited Data and Hot-Spot access from $29.99 to $19.99.

Only problem is if you don’t call for the new rate they will continue to charge you for the more expensive rate. I am assuming this because when I asked the T-Mobile rep on the phone if they were automatically going to lower everyones rate, she didn’t answer but when I asked if the price would of been lowered for me with out calling she did say no. I am also being pro-rated for 29.99 for the first half of my billing cycle and 19.99 for the second half.

So call T-Mobile and request the lower rate. Total Internet Add-on Unlimited Data and Hot-Spot Access.

The Total Internet Add-on plan is for Smart Phones only.

well um...did u prefer if we called all 24 million customers and let them know?  you can log into tmobile.com if u wanted to it would be there. believe me its not like we were trying to make it a secret. There are commercials.. when something goes on sale the store doesnt call you and tell you. figure it out...research. go to there web page. its not hard…

Show us where, they announced the price droped on their site?

There was no annoucement on my.t-mobile.com, there was no annoucement in the monthly bill, there was no txt message sent to anyone, and T-Mobile does like to send free messages from time to time.

It also would of been easy for them to just automatically give everyone the newer rate.

You also can’t compare this to a store sale, but since you did bring it up, if there is a sale in the store they advertise on TV, they also stick a little notice in your bill. I have opened my bills and every month there is some sort of notice of a store sale be it online or not.

well its pretty simple log in. or go to data its there for prices.  There is no way in hell they can manually go into everyones acct and change that feature. the thing is though its not a sale or a limited time only thing either. its a complete change. my cable company doesnt notify me when they lower there packages.  basically its not them trying to be sneaky..for christs sake be even happy they lowered it..i couldnt even beleive that they did when they did!

Your cable company sucks then, and by law they must notify you of every price change an increase or not, mines does. Just recently Sprint also sent out a notice saying that they are dropping the price of some fees.

You can not just log into my.t-mobile.com and click data and see the price of your data plan the only way to see the new price is if you visit Tmobile.com, Click Services and Accesories, then click Internet and Email, then click Smart Phones.

Logging into your account at My.T-Mobile.com doesn’t show you the new price it shows you your current price and it would of been 14.99 for the total internet and 14.99 for the wi-fi access, and if you clicked Change Plan or Service it did not show the Total Internet Plan at the 19.99 price and it doesn’t even show up as a choice.

T-Mobile could of easy sent notices out int he bill like Sprint did, or like at&t;did, they also could of changed the message in right hand corner of My.T-Mobile.com, to inform people.

They made no effort to notify people of the price change.

its not illegal! you only signed a contract for the plan itself. not the features....and sprint sent out notices for an INCREASE! all companies have to on an INCREASE! not a decrease. im sorry i didnt give u a play by play on how to get the price, i figured u new what i meant when is said go to tmobile.com and no it does show u the different prices when u log in when u are on the data features..im sorry that u feel that we have to send u a notice when we drop prices… i promise u we will send u something when we RAISE prices...perhaps u would like it if we sent u a note for EVERYTHING we change… hours… employees...phones..etc...maby then u will be happy?

I think you need to look at what sprint sent out notices for, people will see a decrese in their bills not an increase.

No one is saying T-Mobile has to send out a notice to people about a 10 dollar decrese in a service they have, all I am saying is a company with their customers in mind would of done so.
