Want an iPhone? You better want the data plan
Thursday, June 14, 2007

image Apparently an at&t store manager has told Mac.Blorge.com, that at&t customers can not purchase an iPhone with out a data plan. This basically means everyone who thought they could use the wi-fi function on the iPhone with out a data plan were mistaken.

The article also says the iPhone has a unique contract that locks people into a 2 year agreement for voice and data, and speculates that the ETF (Early Termination Fee) is a lot higher than the typical $175 at&t charges.

Users who want an iPhone should expect to pay over $100 a month for service.
