But then I remember, pretty much all of the phones HP has released over the years have been amazing the only problem it’s hard to ever find them with a US carrier. That is until now with the HP Glisten as it is with at&t.
The HP Glisten is one of the fastest smart phones I have used, (Qualcomm 7200a Processor) and with its fully QWERTY keyboard and 2.5 inch touch screen one of the best. Although being that it uses Windows Mobile 6.5 you’re better off using the included stylus than your finger.
Texting is very easy on the glisten, the keys on the keyboard are not to big and aren’t too small they are perfect, and it is very easy to learn all the functions. The keyboard also has a dedicated GPS button which works exclusively with at&t navigator. No way to change it, if there is I can’t figure it out.
The GPS is not locked to at&t Navigator and you can pretty much use it with any GPS software for Windows Mobile, I used it with Live Maps and Navigon for Windows Mobile.
The built in camera is 3.1 mega pixels with a 5x zoom, it works great for a mobile phone, however for some reason when sending the picture to people via SMS the Windows Phone must be compressing the image and it looks horrible, however if you pull the image from the device by synching it with your PC the image looks great.
You can use the device with both Bluetooth and wired headsets that can be plugged into the 3.55 mm jack, or you can just put some headphones on and use it as an MP3 player which is what I did. You can insert microSD cards into the Glisten and I have tested up to 32GB and they worked.
The Phone itself is Fantastic, the OS is ok the Network is mediocre but none the less a great phone.
I love the HP Glisten and if you are looking for a Windows Mobile Phone that’s stylish and fun to use check out the Glisten. We award the HP Glisten our 5 Star Editors Choice Award!
