Tuesday, April 20, 2010

Today Spring and Samsung unveiled their second green device together, the Samsung Restore. The Samsung Reclaim being the first. The Samsung Restore features a customizable user interface and offers users concerned about the environment an environmentally friendly design. This is the third eco friendly phone from Sprint.

The Samsung Restore will be available this summer in Sprint Stores and online or by calling 1-800-Sprint-1. The phone will cost $49.99 after a $50 mail-in-rebate and a 2 year service agreement.

”Samsung Restore qualifies for the Sprint Eco-Logo and builds on Sprint’s commitment to leading the wireless industry in environmental responsibility,” said Kevin Packingham, Sprint senior vice president-Product Development. “We had great success with our first eco-friendly device, Samsung Reclaim, and have found that consumers want eco-friendly devices without sacrificing technology. Restore provides both and continues Sprint’s great environmental commitment and legacy.”

The Restore will feature a full QWERTY keyboard that slides out, 2.0 Mega Pixel camera and camcorder, MP3 player with microSD card slot that supports up to 32GB cards. The phone itself will come with a 2GB card. You will also beable to use Sprint Navigation and SprintTV on the Restore.
